La place aux herbes

Great place in the middle of Uzès with ancient Platans, surrounding arcades and many restaurants. The ideal place to have a drink and eat or just look around. La place aux herbes is one of the most famous places in the city of Uzès and is transformed into a market every Saturday.

Le pont du gard

Le Pont du Gard is a Roman aqueduct that was later extended to bridge. The structure is located just south of the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard in France, not far from Nîmes and Uzès, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

La Cèze

La Cèze is a river in France with a length of 128 km, which runs through the departments of Lozère and Gard. The river is usually navigable with canoes; canoes can be rented in various places along the river. Various tourist places are located on the river, including Bessèges, Goudargues and Bagnols-sur-Cèze. The waterfalls Cascades du Sautadet near La Roque-sur-Cèze are particularly worth seeing.

Le Mont Ventoux

Mont Ventoux is a mountain in the department of Vaucluse in the south of France, located about twenty kilometers northeast of Carpentras on the border between the municipalities of Beaumont-du-Ventoux and Bédoin.
This summit in the Massif des Cèdres is the only one of this height ( almost 2000 m ) in the Provence region and is therefore also called the Giant of Provence. The name 'Mont Ventoux' is derived from the Occitan word guy which means wind and is said to be dedicated to Vintour, the Celtic ( Figure ) god of the wind.

Arènes de Nîmes

A well-preserved amphitheater in Nîmes, built between 50 and 100 AD. and inspired by the Colosseum in Rome.
Inside, this arena accommodated 24,000 spectators spread over 34 grandstands, who could take a seat in four zones associated with viewers' social status. Access to the Arena was free, meaning both poor and wealthy citizens could enjoy the games.
Nowadays bullfights, concerts and performances are given in the arena, some concerts by famous musicians are Metallica and Rammstein.

Avignon: Palais des Papes

Palais des Papes is the largest Gothic building from the Middle Ages to be found in Europe. It has a floor space of 15,000 m ² and two courtyards. It has twelve towers. Two large chapels can be found in the largest tower.
Avignon became the residence of the Popes in 1309, during their exile from Rome. This lasted until 1376. Pope Benedict XII and Pope Clement VI had the palace built on an excellent rock above the Rhone between 1335 and 1352.
